A decision by President Donald Trump to limit Asian steel imports could increase supramax freight rates for US exports such as petroleum coke, according to some shipbrokers. The US Department of Commerce on 11 January submitted to Trump the findings of its investigation into whether steel imports are threatening US national security, which could result in quotas or tarifs.
