Turkey’s Star refinery to start shipping next year

First product will be shipped from Azerbaijan state-controlled Socar’s 200,000 b/d Star refinery in Turkey in September 2018, Socar Turkey Enerji chief operating office Emil Eminov said on 13 October. Construction of the plant is 99pc complete with commissioning work and testing underway. Initial crude processing could begin “as soon as April” 2018, Eminov told the Argus Azerbaijan International Petroleum Summit.
