Repsol halts Bilbao refnery crude unit

Spanish integrated frm Repsol’s Petronor subsidiary is taking a crude unit of line at its 240,000 b/d Bilbao refnery until regional and export demand improve. The unit accounts for 40pc of the refnery’s crude distil- lation capacity. It is the frst Spanish refnery to announce it is shutting down crude capacity in response to the drop in demand since the country went into lockdown on 16 March.
