India coke price discount to coal narrows

Gains in petroleum coke prices on a delivered India basis have signifcantly narrowed the discount to most coal origins in recent weeks, which may result in some coke-to-coal fuel- switching. Higher coke prices, a result of tight supply and strong de- mand, are combining with falling coal prices to narrow coke’s discount.
