The US total was up from 2.84mn b/d in April, according to trade data the US Census Bureau released on 3 July. Canada was the top importer of US crude in May with 455,000 b/d, followed by South Korea with 331,000 b/d. The other countries in the top fve include India, Taiwan and China.
