>This paper analysed the mechanism of dust concentration distribution and relevant impact factors. The threat of dust concentration is one of the main issues in iron mines. Hence it is important to understand the dust concentration distribution regularities in belt conveyer roadway. This paper was based on the similarity theory and the gas-solid two-phase flow motion equation, taking 11/96 belt conveyer inclined shaft in Xishimen iron ore as the research background. A similar model of belt conveyor roadway was developed, and experimental research was conducted to find out dust concentration distribution. The research results show that dust concentration in the roadway model first gradually increases to a maximum value, and then gradually drops down. There are six important factors that affect dust distribution in belt conveyer roadway, including airflow direction, average velocity of wind, operating speed of the belt, ore moisture, feeding rate and feeding height.
