Diagnosis and control of Salmonella Dublin in dairy herds

Salmonella enterica subspecies enterica serovar Dublin (Salmonella Dublin) infection has a significant impact on productivity and welfare in infected cattle herds, as well as having zoonotic potential. This article focuses on the impact of Salmonella Dublin on the health and welfare of dairy cattle, and discusses important aspects of the pathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis and control of Salmonella Dublin.
