Despite a slight downturn in Croup I base oils demand prior to the holidays,overall availability remained scant.Depending on grade,the deficit was described as intense for Bright Stock,with SN 100 coming in a close second,and with other solvent neutrals snug.Even Group II sales improved during the latter part of the fourth quarter of 2004 and looked healthy moving into the first quarter of 2005.This was attributed to consumers attempting to wrap up long term supply in advance of the fast-approaching GF-4 approval date.
