Study of Damage Evaluation of Prestressed Concrete Box Girder

摘要

In the available literature, the concrete is treated as a continuous isotropic linear elastic-plastic strain hardening-fracture material but the stiffness degradation and strain-softening behavior of concrete due to presence of inherent micro-cracks can be considered in a better way using concrete damage model. In this work, numerical study has been carried out and application is made of the thermodynamically consistent appropriate material models for analysis of Prestressed Concrete Box Girder through Finite Element Analysis commercial software ABAQUS. Lubliner's damage models are used for simulating the damage in concrete. Box girder subjected to static-short-term monotonic loading are analysed in an assumed isothermal environment. The simulated results are observed and comments are made on the results.
