Sliding Mode Control of MERS for Brightness Control of Discharge Lamps with Unity Power Factor

摘要

This paper deals with the control of charging and discharging of MERS with control on output DC voltage of the converter. The converted DC is further fed to discharge lamp with a high frequency resonant converter. The Sliding mode controller adapts the Kp and Ki gains values as per the error input and stabilizes the output DC voltage. The control and design is modeled in MATLAB software with reports and graphs.
