Chaos Between Password-Based Authentication Protocol and Dictionary Attacks

Since authenticated key exchange was proposed in the 1990s, research community has delivered a significant advancement on the development of secure Three-party Password based Authenticated Key Exchange (3PAKE) mechanism. However, there exist studies in the chaos of 3PAKE protocol with dictionary attacks. In this study, we analyze the correlation between 3PAKE protocol and dictionary attacks to derive explicit results which end the remedy-and-attack loop in the field of 3PAKE scheme with on-line dictionary attacks.
