摘要

The purpose of this research was to develop a two-dimensional laser array sensor board to detect the ball position of table tennis. The two-dimensional laser array sensor board with a 14 row × 14 column (approximately 30 × 30 cm) is composed of twenty-eight laser diodes and photodiode sensors. Each of the laser diodes emits the laser ray and was received by the photodiode sensors respectively. As the ball falls into the position between the laser diodes and photodiode sensors of the sensor board, the laser rays between the laser diodes and photodiode sensors were interrupted and therefore the ball position can be marked. The comparison of a high-speed camera and the propose sensor board was performed in this paper. The results showed that sensor system constructed in this study for accurate measurement of the contact position was even more efficient and practical than high-speed camera. Finally, by assessing a tested service machine and having quantitative analysis of the data collected from the sensor, the service machine can be successfully verified by the propose sensor.
