Rail wheel parametric excitation: Laboratory and field measurements

For low-frequency track and wheel noise abatement a system comparing measured and calculated wheelset axle box vibration spectra (thus revealing track properties) is demonstrated with lab evidence and onboard ICE train measurements on ballast and slab tracks. [References: 12]
