Comparison of lifting and bending demands of the various tasks performed by daycare workers

The objective of this study was to evaluate lifting and trunk postural demands of the tasks performed by daycare workers. Twenty-four caregivers were monitored for approximately 3.5 h. Eleven tasks were identified. Posture was monitored by a dosimeter with sensors at T1 and S1. Flexion-extension, lateral bending and torsion angles were investigated using Exposure Variation Analyses (EVA).
