摘要

In order to explore to which extent multi-touch user interface can benefit user experience and knowledge acquisition in digital library scenario, we design and test CReader, a gestural 3D immersive reading system. It is composed of 3D UI and a multi-touch gesture recognition engine, as well as a set of practical gestures obtained by user participation. We propose a template-based multi-touch gesture recognition algorithm $C, which provides rapid response, high accuracy and stable recognition performance. The system usability evaluations indicate that the CReader actually provides user-friendly reading experience and high interaction efficiency, and the gesture interaction approach gets higher user acceptance level, compared to widget-based interaction approach in the user study.
