A field experiment was conducted at Horticultural Research Centre (HRC) of SVPUAT, Meerut during the year 2017-18 to investigate the effect of integrated use of organic and inorganic sources of nutrients on growth, yield and quality of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) van Pusa Rohini under field condition. There were 6 treatments of integrated nutrient management, ve. T,-NPK 100% (120:60:50 kg/ha), T2-FYM 100%(25t/ha),T,-VC 100%(8t/ha),T4-NPK75%+FYM25%(6.25 t/ha), T5-NPK 75%+VC 25% (2 t/ha), T6-NPK 50%+FYM 50% (12.5 t/ha), T7-NPK 50%+VC 50% (4 t/ha), T.-NPK 50%+FYM 25% (6.25 t/ha) + VC 25% (2 t/ha) and T9-Control (No organic and inorganic fertilizers). The findings revealed that the treatment T4-NPK 75% + FYM 25% (6.25 t/ha) was found superiorin terms of plant height, plant spread, number of primary branches plant1, number of leaves plant1 and diameter of main shoot as compared to control. However, minimum days taken to first flowering and days taken to first fruit formation exhibited by theapplication of T,-NPK 50% + FYM 25% (6.251 ha-1) + VC 25% (21 ha1)- The yield parameters like maximum number of fruit/plant, length of fruit, fruit weight plant1, fruit yield plot1 and fruit yield ha"1 produced by the treatment T4-NPK 75% + FYM 25% (6.25 t/ha). The maximum peel thickness was observed under the treatment T4-NPK 75% + FYM 25% (6.25 t/ha) while, maximum total soluble solids (TSS) and ascorbic acid was obtained from the fruits treated with T,-NPK 50% + FYM 25% (6.251 ha1) + VC 25% (21 ha1)during course of study.
