In 2018, world rubber consumption grew for the ninth consecutive year. This, however, may not last as our forecast points to a decline in 2019 for the first time since the financial crisis. Last year Latin America was the only region to show a decline in consumption, but this year all regions except Asia/Pacific may show a negative growth.
