USTR agriculture negotiator calls out India, China for WTO violations

India and China have abused their World Trade Organization subsidy limits in agriculture and holding the counties accountable is "top [of] the priority list," Gregg Doud, U.S. Trade Representative's chief agriculture negotiator, said Tuesday. "We think China has done in excess of $100 billion more in subsidies to its farmers than it was allowed to do." he said at the annual symposium of the American Sugar Alliance, according to an ASA release.
