The 19th annual meeting of the Canadian section of AOCS (CAOCS) met in Halifax, Nova Scotia, October 2-4, 2004. The overall success of this meeting was evidenced in therecord attendance of 146 registrants Much of the credit for this success was due tothe effort given by the Organizing Committee of Robert Ackman (convener), Sue Budge (logistics coordinator), Roget McLeod (treasurer) and Mary Mmphy (social convener), all located at Dalhousie University, Halifax, as well as Jonathan Curtis (technical chairperson) of Ocean Nutrition Canada (OCN), Halifax. Additional sponsors were Newfoundland Health Food Coiporation of St. John's, Canola Council of Canada, Winnipeg, Manitoba, POS Pilot Plant Coiporation, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Mandel Scientific Company Inc., Guelph, Ontario.
