Mexico suspended the reduction of import duties on footwear manufactured in Asia

The government of Mexico has published a decree that renews the tariffs to Asian footwear,to the previous levels to the loss,of 32 fractions of footwear to 30% and 11 fractions to 25%.The reduction of tariffs had entered into force last January,generating a severe impact on Mexican manufacturers.However,the measure is provisional,since it will be applied in principle for six months.In January the modification of the Tariff of the Law of the,General Taxes of Importation and Exportation(TIGIE)has been published,which generated a great uncertainty in the leather-footwear sector of Mexico.
