Production of N at 1.079 million metric tonnes (MMT) during June 2017 registered decline of 4.4% over June 2016. However, production of P2O5 at 0.422 MMT during June 2017 increased by 6.6% during the same period. Among the major fertilisers, production of urea and NP/NPK complex fertilisers declined by 5.4% and 18%, respectively, during June 2017 over June 2016. However, the production of DAP increased by 38.1% during the same period. Production of N and P2O5 fell short from the target by 26.3 thousand tonnes and 36.2 thousand tonnes, respectively, during June 2017. Capacity utilisation of N declined from 99.5% during June 2016 to 95.2% during June 2017. In case of P2O5, it increased from 68.3% to 72.1% during the same period.
