Production of fertiliser nutrient N at 1.060 million metric tonnes (MMT) and P2O5 at 0.373 MMT during March 2017 registered decline of 5.1% and 9.1%, respectively, over March 2016. All the major fertilisers registered decline in production during March 2017 over March 2016. Production of urea, DAP and NP/ NPK complex fertilisers declined by 1.8%, "11.1% and 19.9%, respectively, during March 2017 over March 2016. Production of N and P2O5 fell short marginally from the target by 6.1 thousand tonnes and 20 thousand tonnes, respectively, during March 2017. Capacity utilisation of N and P2O5 reduced from 98.7% and 71.9% during March 2016 to 93.5% and 64%, respectively, during March 2017.
