West Bengal State Centre of the Institution in association with the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, organized a two-day All India Workshop on the theme 'Quality Improvement in Products and Processes: Principle, Methods and Applications' under the aegis of Production Engineering Division, IEI during October 27-28, 2017 at IIEST Shibpur, Howrah. At the outset, Prof (Dr) N R Bandyopadhyay, the then Council Member, IEI and Professor, School of Materials Science and Engineering, IIEST, Shibpur, welcomed the august gathering. In his address, Prof Bandyopadhyay highlighted the significance of organizing the Workshop and its relevance to future research activities.
