GOLD IN THE MIDWEST-PART III IOWA, MISSOURI, AND KANSAS

In this continuation of the Midwest gold series we are going to take a look at the states of Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas, look at possible locations within these states to find gold and talk about areas where gold has been found in the past. As mentioned in previous Midwest gold articles, one must pay close attention to local laws when setting out to prospect anywhere in these states. Laws can vary greatly state to state and county to county. Also, respect for private property owners is a must, since public land in these states is very limited. If available, local prospecting clubs can give some great insight to the local rules and regulations and may even have access to certain locations.
