Research into mistletoes and the health of forests

A series of experiments were planned within Yambulla State Forest south and west of Eden, New South Wales. The trials of different treatments involved logging and burning, and it was soon discovered that the mammals returned readily so surveys of birds continued for longer. After the logging a third of the trees were retained. These trials were conducted over an extended period from 1989 to 2006. The initial report was prepared in 1990.
