FRANKLIN ADHESIVES AND POLYMERS PVA Wood Adhesive

This company recently introduced its new Advantage FJ-1 one-part PVA wood adhesive. The new product passes ASTM 5572-95 (2012) wet use testing for finger joints, and can provide high water resistance. The one-part formulation offers several benefits to wood component manufacturers: it can save time lost to pre-mix-ing components, avoids injury from handling an acid catalyst, and eliminates the risk of improper mixing. In addition, it reportedly allows the manufacturer to pump directly from the tote to an extrusion system without a separate feed and mixing of the catalvst.
