GPI appoints new president

The Glass Packaging Institute(GPI) has appointed Scott DeFife as its President beginning 19th August.Mr DeFife will spearhead the association in a time of great opportunity,as the glass container industry continues to develop and sharpen its focus in many areas.Most recently Mr DeFife served as Vice-President of Government Affairs for the Plastics Industry Association where he worked to advance the organisation's new sustainabilityadvocacy work,including upgrading the U.S.domestic recycling infrastructure.
