Australia has revised up its fve-year outlook for global LNG trade, with China, emerging economies in Asia, and Europe all underpinning global demand, which will largely be met by new supply from Australia and the US. Global LNG trade is forecast to rise to 432mn t in 2024 from 318mn t last year and to 351.8mn t in 2019, the Australian government’s commodity forecaster the Ofce of the Chief Economist (OCE) says.
