Malaysia’s Petronas lifts third-quarter LNG sales

Malaysian state-owned oil company Petronas’ LNG sales in the third quarter edged higher from a year earlier, as production rose. LNG sales increased to 7.22mn t from 7.12mn t. Much of the increase was the result of higher output from Petronas’ liquefaction portfolio, the company says. Petronas produced its first cargo at the 1.2mn t/yr Petronas Floating LNG (PFLNG) 1 facility, with the first export in April. The company has an 80pc stake in the 3.6mn t/yr ninth train at the Bintulu complex in Malaysia.
