A fnal investment decision (fiD) on the Barossa gas backfll project for the 3.7mn t/yr Darwin LNG facility in Australia’s Northern Territory is expected to be taken by the end of March next year, future operator Santos says. Barossa will replace the Bayu-Undan feld in the Timor Sea, where production is expected to peak in 2022 before falling sharply.
