Delfin LNG seeks extension on looming deadline

The proposed 13mn t/yr Delfin LNG export project in the Gulf of Mexico has requested an extension from US energy regulator Ferc to a deadline for construc- tion of onshore infrastructure. The project developer has requested that Ferc push back the deadline by a year to 28 September 2021, allowing time for onshore installations - to be used in the provision of feedgas to foating liquefaction (FLNG) units - to be built.
