Scheduled start-ups of liquefaction plants in the US this year are expected to boost associated shipping demand and contribute to a tighter LNG shipping mar- ket by the end of 2019. Monthly LNG loadings from the US could increase to around 54 in the third quarter from 41 in June, assuming an average vessel size of 160,000m~3 and 98pc of cargoes being commercially available, once the frst liquefaction train at the Cameron plant in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and the second at Corpus Christi, Texas, produce at capacity (see chart).
