Detecting the dark matter of the cosmic web

It has been a mixed few weeks for dark matter research. While one study has provided evidence of gravity from what is assumed to be dark matter filaments linking galaxies, another study has shown that the gamma-ray glow emanating from the centre of the Milky Way is produced by a cluster of pulsars and not dark matter particles.
