CNPC lands Abu Dhabi block

State-owned China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has been handed equity in two concessions offshore Abu Dhabi by state-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). CNPC, via its listed subsidiary PetroChina, has been given a 10% stake in the Umm Shaif and Nasr concession and a 10% interest in the Lower Zakum concession.
