Coal generation loses ground to gas again in PJM

Natural gas-fired generation overtook coal as the secondlargestfuel source in the PJM Interconnection for the secondstraight month in April.Generators dispatched 17.3mn MWh of gas-fired power intothe US’ largest electrical grid in April, a 32.5pc increase comparedwith the same month a year earlier, according to PJM'sGeneration Attribute Tracking System.
