Union Pacific expects crude shipments to rise

Western US railroad Union Pacific (UP) expects to ship more crude and biofuels this year, helping to offset likely drops in coal, sand and automobile demand. Favorable crude price spreads that drove an increase in shipments in the fourth quarter will continue in 2020, UP executive vice president of sales and marketing Kenny Rocker said on 23 January.
