US wood pellet producer Enviva has increased its contract with French utility Engie, to deliver an incremental 405,000 t/yr wood pellets in 2018-20. Enviva is now contracted to deliver a total of around 1.4mn t/yr to Engie from April 2018-2023. Enviva also signed a long-term take-or-pay contract in April to supply 45,000 t/yr pellets to Engie for fifteen years, starting in 2021.
