Atlantic Basin Industrial: cif ARA spot steps up

The Argus cif ARA index for wood pellets delivered to the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) area in the next 90 days stepped higher in the week to Wednesday to close at $176.13/t amid multiple bids for volumes offered to the market. A utility was reported to be offering a 25,000 t handysize cargo which was already on the water from a North American supplier. At least two utilities and a trader were bidding on the volumes but no deal had been closed by Wednesday.
