Italian premium: Prices rise but market steady

In the Italian premium pellet market, prices rose slightly on robust demand amid a lack of usual deliveries from the Baltics, but gains were curbed by mild weather in northern Italy since the start of the year which has somewhat eased the tightness in the market reported in recent weeks. The price of EN plus-certified bagged pellets delivered into northern Italy rose by €1/t to close at €228/t on Wednesday. The price for bulk pellets delivered into northern Italy also increased, to €164/t, up by €2/t in the week.
