South African wood pellet plant to restart in 2021

A joint venture between Dutch, UK and South African counterparties has announced plans to restart Africa’s largest wood pellet production plant in 2021. UK renewables developer Hive Energy, South African developer iLive and Dutch consultancy and project developer Partners for Innovation (PfI) have formed a consortium to establish the Coega Biomass Centre in Port Elizabeth, in South Africa's Eastern Cape Province.
