Practical alternative to polyamide 12 in automotive fuel lines

A pair of injection moulding compounds based on polyamide (PA) 6/12 that could be used to replace PA 12 in fuel line components has been launched by Teknor Apex Co of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA. Called Chemlon 813 CI and Chemlon 830 GHI, the fibre-reinforced compounds provide good chemical-resistance and low moisture absorption, according to Teknor Apex.
