With competitive pressures increasing constantly, battery manufacturers are looking for an edge in bringing quality products to market in a timely, cost-effective way. For metal parts, there has always been a trade-off between quality and price.Machining ensures high quality and strict tolerances, but the cost in terms of time as well as money is often significant. Metal injection molding offers the cost-effectiveness of mass production, but tolerances and overall quality do not measure up formany battery applications. FAST Forming seems to have bridged the gap between quality, timely production, and cost-effectiveness with a flexible combination of metal-working technologies and an innovative, whole-system approach.
