I grew up in the forest! Well, not quite but close enough that, as a kid, we were going camping every weekend during the summer months. At the age of 10, my parents were wondering "where was I going all day," barely coming back for lunch? Very simple!I spent most of my time near a small stream, catching crawfish and small fish, that became my pets for the weekend until they were released late Sunday afternoon before we all returned back home. I learned as a young child to respect natural resources and the importance of the balance of species in an ecosystem. We live in a society that for decades has been taking from nature without too much concern about the impact of our actions on the survival of other species, with the results that many are now endangered and may disappear forever.
