WORKING TOGETHER MAKES EVERYONE STRONGERNATIONAL ALLIANCE HELPS PLANT SOCIETIES BE SUCCESSFUL

Each spring, represenrarives from plant societies across the country meet for an annual gathering to discuss common opportunities and challenges, to network, and to foster mutual success under the auspices of the Coalition of American Plant Societies(CAPS). The inaugural meeting of CAPS was held at the American Rose Center in May of 2012, at the invitation of former American Rose Society (ARS) Executive Director Jeff Ware. The theme of that first meeting was "Relevance: National Plant Societies in the 21st Century." Harry Rissetto, Chair of the American Horticultural Society (AHS) set the tone with a keynote presentation on "Social Capital: Challenges for Plant and Flower Clubs and Societies."
