COP boss lends cash for Nigerian Noa project talks

The head of Canadian Overseas Petroleum (COP) has lent the company money himself in that hope that it will keep it running until a deal can be closed that will herald the development of the Noa field off Nigeria. The ShoreCan joint venture between Nigeria's Shoreline Group and COP operates OPL 226 which holds the Noa discovery. The company has been in talks with investor and service providers for the project but COP ran out of funds at the end of last year.
