Wariness as BP tells Angolan PAJ bidders to come back next year

There is a weary scepticism among the shortlisted bidders for BP's Angolan PAJ project who have been told the development will go ahead next year. The selected few submitted bids for a competitive pre-FEED for the greenfield FPSO development in Block 31 earlier this year. BP then put the project on hold earlier this quarter and the week before last told bidders that the work would go ahead in 12 to 18 months time.
