Exxon looks for Tanzania LNG exit

ExxonMobil is looking to sell out of its delayed LNG project in Tanzania as it concentrates on neighbouring Mozambique. The company bought a 35% interest in Equinor's (formerly Statoil's) Block 2 in 2010 where 25 Tcf of gas has since been discovered. A joint project is envisioned with Shell's neighbouring Block I which has 17 Tcf of recoverable reserves.
