The dispute between San Leon and SunTrust Oil over ownership of part of a significant block in Nigeria is growing. In 2016 San Leon Energy spent more than US $260m on helping the takeover of Mart Resources with the main asset being a stake in OML 18 which was operated by Eroton. It has since been providing much of the funding for development work with the aim of reaching production of 100,000 b/d.
