FAR targeting SNE extension into Tie Gambia

FAR is now hoping to drill what it believes is an extension of the SNE field off Senegal into its neighbouring acreage off The Gambia in the middle of next year.The Australian minnow is a partner in Woodside's SNE project but is also operator of Blocks A2 and A5 over the border in The Gambia in a partnership with Petronas.The Malaysian national oil company carried FAR for the unsuccessful Samo well in Block A2 only 30km from the SNE field late last year.Both reservoirs were water bearing although oil shows were encountered at several levels.The new target is named Soloo and is further north in the block with P50 reserves estimated at 193m bbl.
