NNPC has approved a list of nine companies shortlisted to go through to the next stage of ExxonMobil's general maintenance contract for its joint venture acreage. A host of companies originally submitted their bids last February for the five year contract that has two optional one year extensions. An award was initially expected in the third quarter of last year. Nine companies recommended by Mobil itself to pass through the technical stage and onto commercial tenders have now also been approved by joint venture acreage partner NNPC.
